No — pressure is matched to the surface, and sand-jointed pavers get re-sanding flagged before we start.

How do you price it?

By the square metre, booked online. Measure roughly — we confirm on arrival and any difference is agreed before the machine starts.

Do you seal afterwards?

We can quote sealing while the surface is clean — it's the right moment for it.

What moves the price / fixed, inc GST

Pressure washing is priced by area and surface, and what is on the surface decides how long each square metre takes.

01Square metres and surface — Priced by area, so the measurement is the biggest input. Plain concrete cleans fastest. Pavers and exposed aggregate take longer.
02What is on it — Moss, mould, oil and tyre marks get a pre-treatment and a dwell time before the machine starts.
03Jointing and finish — Sand-jointed pavers lose sand as they clean and are flagged for re-sanding. Sealing is quoted as its own job.
04Water and power access — A tap and a working power point near the area keep the machine on the job instead of on long hose runs.
05Where the water goes — Run-off decides whether the area can be done in one pass or has to be worked in sections.

Pressure is matched to the surface
The fastest way to ruin a driveway is to use the wrong pressure on it. A wand at full pressure on a sand-jointed paver leaves a trench of missing sand and a stripe you cannot unsee, and a rotary cleaner held too long in one spot etches concrete permanently.
The rotary cleaner does the flat runs for an even finish with no wand stripes. Edges, steps and tight corners are done by hand, which is slower and is where the care shows.

What comes off, and what does not
Moss, mould, traffic film and tyre marks come off with pre-treatment and the right pressure. Rust staining, oil that has soaked deep into the surface, and cured paint are a different problem, and a wash will not fix them.
Efflorescence on new concrete and mortar smear on brick are common and are treated gently, because aggressive pressure drives the salt deeper or spreads the smear across more of the wall.

The right moment to seal
The clean is the preparation. Once the surface is dry and free of moss, a sealer has something to bond to, which is why it is quoted while the area is open rather than months later.
Sealing slows the return of moss, helps oil wipe up instead of soaking in, and on sand-jointed pavers it is what holds the jointing sand where it belongs.

Before you book

A little preparation makes the day faster and protects what should not get wet.

01Clear cars, pots and furniture off the area.
02Measure the area roughly and note the surface type when you book.
03Close windows and doors on the walls being cleaned, and bring washing in off the line.
04Point out oil stains, paint drips and moss so they get pre-treated rather than rushed.
05Say if the pavers are sand-jointed, because that changes what happens after the wash.
06Keep pets and kids inside while the machine is running.
