What if my grass is knee-high?

First cuts on overgrown lawns can run over the booked size — we'll confirm any difference with you on site before starting, never after.

Do you take the clippings?

Always. They leave on the trailer — your bins stay yours.

Fortnightly or monthly?

Fortnightly through the growing season, monthly through winter. Set your rhythm at booking and change it any time.

What moves the price / fixed, inc GST

Mowing is priced by yard size, and everything on the visit scales with it — the cut, the edges, the snipping and the clean-up.

01Yard size — The booked price is set by yard size — courtyard, standard block or large block — and the whole visit scales with it.
02How long it has been — A first cut on a lawn that has been let go takes more passes, and that is when the booked size can change.
03Edges and beds — Long runs of garden bed, fence line and retaining wall all need the whipper, and heavy edging is slower than open lawn.
04Slope and surface — A sloping block, a rough lawn or a wet winter surface means slower work and more care around the mower.
05Clippings — Clippings leave on the trailer at every visit, so nothing sits in your green bin and nothing is left on the lawn.

Cut height is a decision, not a setting
Scalping a lawn in summer is how it browns off. Cutting too high in spring lets it go to seed and thicken into thatch. The right height moves with the season and the grass, and it decides how the lawn looks a fortnight later.
Edges are cut with a blade rather than waved at with a whipper. It is slower, and it is the difference between a lawn that looks mown and one that looks finished.

The round that keeps it easy
A lawn on a regular round never gets away. Each visit is a light cut, the edges stay crisp, and the clippings are small enough to take away cleanly. A lawn cut only when it embarrasses you is a different job every time.

A few minutes of preparation keeps the visit quick and the finish clean.

01Pick your rhythm — fortnightly in season, monthly through winter — and change it any time.
02Unlock the side gate and settle the dog before we arrive.
03Move toys, hoses and sprinklers off the lawn.
04Point out anything in the grass — a sprinkler head, a tree stake, a buried cable.
05Flag an overgrown first cut when you book so the right machine comes out.
06Leave the bins out if you would rather the clippings went somewhere specific.
