Yes — including sliding-door alignment, which is where most DIY builds go wrong.

What if parts are missing?

We'll build everything buildable, photograph the missing part number for your replacement claim, and return to finish for a small call-back rather than a full job.

Do you mount TVs and shelves too?

That's an odd-jobs booking — pair the two and we'll do both in one visit.

What moves the price / fixed, inc GST

Flat pack is booked by the hour with a minimum visit, so the number of items and how complicated they are decides the time.

01How many items, and how big — A bedside table and a three-door wardrobe are not the same job. Item count and size decide the hours.
02Brand and instructions — Some ranges are engineered better than others, and some arrive with drawings that do not match the parts.
03Doors, drawers and slides — Anything with alignment takes longer than a plain shelf unit — wardrobe doors, soft-close drawers, sliding rails.
04Wall anchoring — Tall units get fixed to studs, so the wall behind matters. Brick, plasterboard and a stud finder are three different fixings.
05Getting the boxes in — Carrying flat packs up stairs or down a tight hallway is time on the clock, so tell us the access.

Square at every stage
Flat pack furniture wobbles for one reason: it was racked during assembly. A carcass that is out of square at the second panel is still out of square at the last one, and tightening everything afterwards does not bring it back.
Cam locks and dowels get seated properly rather than forced. A stripped fitting cannot be repaired, and it is the panel that is ruined rather than the screw.

The step most people skip
Tall bookcases, wardrobes and drawer units tip. Anchoring one to a stud is the difference between a piece of furniture and a hazard, and it takes a couple of minutes at the end of a build.
The wall decides the fixing. Timber studs take a screw straight, plasterboard without a stud needs a proper toggle, and brick or concrete needs a masonry plug and a different drill.

When the box is missing something
Parts go missing in transit more often than people expect. If something is not in the box, everything that can be built gets built and the missing part number is photographed so you can claim it.
Damaged panels are worth finding before assembly starts, because a chipped edge is far easier to claim on a flat pack that has never been opened.

Before you book

Flat pack goes together fastest when the room is ready before we arrive.

01Leave the boxes in the room the furniture will live in where you can.
02Check the part list against the box and flag anything missing.
03Clear the floor space and the wall where a tall unit will be anchored.
04Say if a unit needs wall anchoring, and what the wall is made of.
05Have the instructions and any leftover fittings together in one place.
06Book mounting, hanging and shelf jobs as odd jobs so both can be done in one visit.
