What builds up in Walkerville homes
Housing in Walkerville is grand stone residences and manicured gardens in one of Adelaide's smallest, most exclusive councils. Gentle fall toward the river valley, with some genuinely sloped blocks along the escarpment edge. The ground beneath is alluvial loam over clay near the Torrens, deepening to reactive clay away from the river, and the suburb sits inside the Town of Walkerville area. Local reference points include Walkerville Terrace, the River Torrens Linear Park and Levi Park. For odd jobs, that mix is what decides how a job is scoped, which is why the block is looked at before anything is quoted.
